Mormons

http://nowscape.com/mormon/hitler_temple_records.htm
I hate it when I see stuff like this about Mormons. I know a lot of Mormons. I know a lot about them. They are very good people. They believe that almost everyone deserves a second chance, and that even Hitler should get baptized (not that he won't be punished for what he did).
This will make more sense if you read the article.

Middle School

Right now I'm thinking about my days in middle school. Specifically, eighth grade. The girls in eighth grade were brutal. That old saying "With friends like these who needs enemies?" seriously starts to make sense.
I'm not kidding. The people who called themselves my friends in eighth grade were self-centered, hypocritical liars. They were just plain b*****.
Did anyone else have a miserable eighth grade experience? Because as far as I can tell, feelings like this are pretty common. Middle school sucked.

The White Crayon

I have this one friend, named Chase.
He has a lot of very interesting philosophies. For instance, he loves muffins and thinks cupcakes are children of the devil.
One of his most recent ideas is that crayon companies should stop manufacturing white crayons. Nobody ever uses it. He claims this would save a lot of little kids a lot of trouble.
Personally, I agree.
Am I the only one who feels this way?

????????

One of the things I can't stand is when someone is mad at you and they won't tell you why. They want you to be sorry, but you can't be if you don't know what the heck you did wrong! How are you supposed to apologize if you don't know what you are apologizing for? How can you fix the problem if you don't know what the problem is? That's right: you can't.
Why do people do this?

Attractiveness

How do you measure attractiveness? All the time, I hear people say, "Oh, she's pretty," or "He's so ugly." But if you see a person, how do you decide if they are attractive or not?
I know how I decide. If a guy has long, greasy hair, he is instantly unattractive. Or if he has a giant, round belly.
And I really do love guys with nice eyes. If I am going to spend lots of time looking into them, they have to be beautiful.
I'm not shallow or anything, I promise. But I don't think greasy hair appeals to anyone.

Why It's Great to be a Girl

There are a few reasons why it is absolutely amazing to be a girl. The first one is girlfriends. When I am upset, I have a whole group of girlfriends to give me hugs. When a guy is upset, who gives them hugs?
Another reason is that we are allowed to cry. Guys who cry are considered wimps. They can't show their emotions. Girls can sit on the bus, bawling their eyes out, and everyone comforts them. But what would you do if a guy did that?
And while girls may sometimes be self-centered female dogs, when it really matters, we are there for each other. For some reason, it seems like guys aren't there for their friends. Like they care too much about sports, or something equally as dumb (not that sports are dumb, guys, just that you should be there for your friends).
When guys hug each other, when they cry, when they give their friends a shoulder to cry on, we call them gay. We call them wimps. We are so mean to them. Why?
That's why I love being a girl.

The Blamed

Doesn't it seem like their is always one person that gets blamed for everything? Of course it is their fault. But if we stop to think about it, logically, it isn't possible. Statistically speaking, it can't always be the same person's fault. It just can't work that way. They get blamed for the bad things that happen in the lives of those close to them, and they get blamed for the fights that occur. But it can't be true, especially with the fighting part: a fight can never be the fault of a single person.

Laughing

Sometimes people tell me that i should laugh less and think a little more. Every time they say that, I just smile. What is wrong with laughing? I laugh when I am happy. I laugh when I am tried. Sometimes I even laugh when I am sad. Maybe they are right, maybe I don't think enough. But I still don't think there is anything wrong with laughing. If you ask me, the people on this earth should all laugh a little more. You can never be too happy.
And that is a fact. People may think that you are too happy, but no matter what, there can never be too much happiness.

New Things

New things are always novelties at first. When you first get a new haircut, you spend ages in front of the mirror. When you first get a new dishwasher, you use dishes just so you can wash them. And when you get a new car, you drive it everywhere, even places you would normally walk. But this excitement wears off quickly. Why do we get so worked up over new things? Why do we pay stacks of money for something that will eventually become outdated? Why do we get so excited? Why are new things such a big deal? Soon, we won't care anymore.

Relationships

The thing people don't get about relationships is that they are not going to be fairy tales. Just because you have a fight doesn't mean you need to break up. It doesn't mean you have to get a divorce. It just means you have to work it out. You are going to disagrre. Especially couples living together. Two people sharing the same house and the same bed and raising the same family are going to disagree. They are going to fight. They just have to work it out.

The World

It is amazing how little some people know about the world. We live in the world, and yet people know nothing about it. It drives me insane. In my eighth grade science class, the girl who sat next to me didn't know the the world revolved around the sun. She didn't know that the sun was a star. Where was she during the second grade space unit?
It just goes to show: Stupidity knows no bounds.

Hi!

Hey.
I just wanted to give you a little intro to this bog before I start blowing your mind. My name is JD, and I live in a small town just west of Portland, Oregon. This blog is mostly just things I think of, things I wish I could share with the world. Things people need to realize. It's food for your thoughts. I hope that by my writing this blog, I can share a few things with a few people. Maybe I can contribute to making the world a better place.
